Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single Sign-On (SSO)

What is Single Sign-on?

Single Sign-on (SSO) enables users to authenticate with multiple applications using only one set of credentials. After the first authentication, users are then signed in to other applications automatically. With SSO, users will be able to access any Nodegrid with a click of a button.

Benefits of Single Sign-on

Before, users had to keep track of multiple unique passwords for each Nodegrid. Now with SSO, users will only have to remember one set of credentials, which eliminates the security risk of weak, or forgotten passwords, all the while not compromising security.
SSO also makes it easier for network administrators to control user access across all applications. Instead of having to add or remove users on each Nodegrid, administrators can now control all of the users’ access in one place.
Finally, SSO saves time. Re-entering passwords across multiple Nodegrids is time consuming and mundane. With SSO, users are able to access any Nodegrid with one click.

Using Single Sign-on with Nodegrid

Nodegrid’s Single Sign-on currently integrates with many popular identity providers, including Duo, Ping Identity, and Okta. And since Nodegrid is using the industry-standard Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), any identity provider that also supports SAML 2.0 is also easily integratable.
With a simple way to configure, Single Sign-on is a must for those who want an easy, and secure way for their users to authenticate with Nodegrid.
