How to monitoring health WAN links using SD-WAN feature on NodegridOS

Overview

With the SD-WAN feature on NodegridOS its possible to monitor the health of all the underlay WAN links. Using Jitter, loss and Delay metrics to make health checks on the WAN link. 

Environment test:

      1 HiveSR
      1 WiFi interface - WAN link                   

Step-by-step configuration

Go to access NodegridOS WEB and follow the steps below.: 



      1.  Go to Network
      2. Click on SD-WAN
      3. Click on Settings
      4. Check box and enable SD-WAN
      5. Click on save

                1. Click on Network
                2. Click on SD-WAN

                1. Click on link profile
                2. Click on Add

                1. In the Link Name, input any name about interface monitor (Ex. Interface_WIFI, no spaces or special characters allowed)
                2. Interface name.: put the interface should be used to monitor SD-WAN (Ex. wlan0)
                3. Click on save

          1. Click on Path Steering
          2. Click on steering default (Ex Real-time-apps)

     1.  Click on Measurement target to choose the monitoring destination (Ex google.com or zpecloud.com) this DNSwill monitor all time.  
     2. Choose the path selection -- > Underlay to monitoring interface wan (Ex. WIFI, ETH0 or others) 
                                                        -- > Overlay to monitoring tunnel interfaces (Ex. IPSEC tunnel, GRE Tunnel, Wireguard Tunnel)
                                                        --> both types interfaces
    3. Available links --> check one or more interfaces to monitor
    4. Click add when choose interface monitoring
    5. Save all the configurations
