How to determine year of manufacture based on serial number

The last four digits of the serial number for Nodegrid appliances indicates when the unit was manufactured.  These four digits are split into two pairs where:
  1. The first pair indicates the week of the year
  2. The last pair indicates the year as a two digit number
For example, if a serial number ends in 2818:  The first pair shows this unit was manufactured in the 28th week of the year.  While the last pair shows the year of manufacture as 18 to represent 2018.  Using public tools, we can determine this was built between Jul 8, 2018 and Jul 14, 2018.

Notes: Most units built in 2016 or earlier will still use the last four digits of the serial number, but have the week and year reversed.  For example, 1641 indicates the 41st week of 2016.  Some units built in 2015 will not use this pattern; those serial numbers will have the letter B as in the fifth position, for example: 1538B02497.
